AXA Global Healthcare, the international medical insurance division of French multinational insurance firm AXA Group, has unveiled a digital platform merging insurance services with healthcare delivery.
The platform, launched in December 2024, incorporates virtual consultations, policy management and wellness tracking through a mobile application.
The system combines essential health insurance services, policy documentation access and claims management with virtual care services and wellness features.
A companion web portal provides desktop access to insurance and healthcare services for users requiring computer-based access.
The platform connects policyholders to a network of 1.9 million healthcare providers through search functionality that categorises providers by location, medical specialty and specific health conditions.
Users access consultations with 450 physicians worldwide through phone or video services, with availability in more than 20 languages.
Mental health support through the platform includes six psychology consultations per member via video or telephone sessions. A second medical opinion service connects patients to 50,000 medical specialists for consultation on diagnoses and treatment plans.
The system enables users to authorise new treatments, submit invoices and manage claims through the application interface.
Members can view remaining policy limits, access insurance documentation, and communicate with customer service representatives through live chat or secure messaging.
The initial release in December 2024 targets selected clients, with phased implementation continuing through 2025.
Technical features include integration with wearable devices for fitness tracking and tools for monitoring physical activity and nutrition. The platform provides content focused on stress reduction, sleep improvement and mental well-being support, enabling users to set and track personalised wellness goals.
The application provides access to policy documents, digital membership cards, and insurance handbooks.
Users can track claims progress and view coverage details through the mobile interface. The platform includes tools for setting and monitoring wellness objectives, with features focusing on mental health, physical activity, and weight management, reported InsurTech Digital.
