Pru Life UK has won a 2024 Silver Quill Award for excellence in communications from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), reaffirming the company's commitment to strategic and impactful storytelling, further strengthening its reputation as a leader in the life insurance industry.

This follows its Gold Quill Award win last year, underscoring the sustained impact and strategic execution of its “Celebrating Life” campaign. This year-long initiative honoured Prudential’s century-long presence in Asia and 175-year global legacy, reinforcing the company’s mission to be the most trusted partner and protector of Filipino families.

“It is through our storytelling that we are able to connect with and empower our various stakeholders. Therefore, it is with great pride and gratitude that we accept such an award. We believe this serves as an emblem of our dedication to effective and impactful communication that champions stories and messages that align with our vision and mission as an institution,” said Ms Kathryn Cajucom, Pru Life UK Head of Brand & Communications.

Pru Life UK’s “Celebrating Life” campaign was a tribute to Prudential’s 175 years of global service, including a century in Asia and 28 years in the Philippines.

The campaign featured a series of customer-centric and community-driven initiatives, including:

  • PRUBabies, which provided 175,000 free PRUMedCare – Select Infectious Diseases vouchers to help Filipino parents protect their newborns;
  • PRURide Philippines, the country’s biggest cycling festival, which gathered over 5,000 cycling enthusiasts and families and donated 175 bicycles to Cebuano communities;
  • A grand Thanksgiving event with the British Embassy, celebrating Prudential’s heritage with PRUPremier clients, executives, and financial advisors;
  • An all-expense-paid London experience for a loyal Pru Life UK customer and her family, featuring a historic visit to Prudential’s former headquarters at Holborn Bars; and
  • 175 stories of PRULove, an internal campaign that fostered engagement and appreciation among employees and agents.

These local initiatives were designed to celebrate Prudential’s heritage, anchored to its legacy of excellence and history. More than a tribute to its rich history, these initiatives embody Pru Life UK’s unwavering commitment to being a trusted partner and protector for generations.

The Silver Quill Award is a recognition given by the IABC to winners of the Gold Quill Award for their entries that garnered excellently high scores for their communication programmes.
