Thai Life Insurance (TLI) is creating an ecosystem to provide comprehensive care and services to seniors through its "Thai Life Insurance Health Fit Senior CI".
Mr Denpong Jesadawiriya, Assistant General Manager of TLI, said that to create this ecosystem for taking care of the life and health of the Silver Age group or the elderly, the company is collaborating with various partners to develop products, services and complete privileges for the elderly group under the coverage.
The company's partners include Eisai (Thailand) Marketing Co, a leader in developing drugs for Alzheimer's disease and neurological diseases, and 16 leading nursing home and elderly hospital operators to provide holistic care for policyholders.
The product covers screening for Alzheimer's disease and long-term monthly benefits for expenses in receiving services from nursing homes that are partners with TLI. Customers can choose to notify the company to pay monthly benefits to nursing homes in the partner network with TLI to receive services.
Mr Denpong said applications can be made from ages 40-80.
Benefits under the insurance policy includes:
- Screening for Alzheimer's disease by a doctor;
- Monthly benefits in case of serious illnesses at all stages, such as Alzheimer's disease, stroke or occlusion, Parkinson's disease, etc, up to THB6 million for a maximum period of 120 months;
- Coverage for four chronic diseases caused by lifestyle: chronic gout, severe gastric ulcer, retinal degeneration in the elderly with impaired vision, and severe hearing loss; and
- Compensation for broken bones from accidents, including nursing expenses for health rehabilitation, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
Mr Natthaphan Nimmanphatcharin, Managing Director of Eisai (Thailand) Marketing Co, said, “The concept of ‘prevention before disease occurs’ is not just an option, but is considered an absolute necessity, especially for the elderly who are fragile, both physically and mentally.”
“As a leader in innovative treatments for dementia and drugs for the elderly, Eisai is committed to strengthening the health ecosystem to be stronger and more complete. The company does not only focus on research and drug production, but also emphasises creating collaborations with partners who share the same goals,” he said, reported Money & Banking Online.
