Thirteen years ago, when Kechi Okwuchi was just 15 years old, her life took a dramatic turn. She survived a plane crash which killed 107 out of 109 passengers, 60 of whom were her fellow classmates and friends.
Overcoming her physical, mental and emotional obstacles, she has since graduated with Summa Cum Laude (with highest distinction) in Economics & Marketing (BBA) and also emerged as a Top 10 finalist of America’s Got Talent in 2017 as a singer.
I had the privilege of sitting down with Kechi for a chat at the MDRT Annual Meeting in Los Angeles. This beautiful lady inspires with her music, courage and love.
Watch the interview as she shares how overcame her darkest hour, the lessons we can draw to face our struggles in life and to find the courage to go for our dreams because “my scars don’t define me”.
