The Awards offers a neutral regional platform to recognise the best in life insurance agency and advisory across Asia. The esteemed judging panel was made up of 27 CEOs, senior executives, heads of associations and industry experts, and the rigorous and transparent two-stage judging process was audited by EY.
In the first stage, remote judging was conducted to select the finalists. In the second stage, this year judges gathered to deliberate and to arrive at the winners through a secret ballot via virtual meeting.
Awards patron and HSBC group chairman Mr Mark Tucker said, “In a particularly challenging year, I would like to congratulate all our finalists, and thank them for their commitment to the industry, and the immense contribution they make to customers and to the communities in which we work and live. I would also like to acknowledge the prestigious panel of judges for their hard work and the tough decisions required to select the winners who will be revealed tonight.”
Asia Insurance Review, Middle East Insurance Review & Asia Advisers Network CEO Ms Sheela Suppiah said, “The need for insurance is now even more important and despite tighter wallets and the recessionary climate, agents have continued full steam ahead to ensure clients are protected. We salute and congratulate all of them for going the extra mile and for their tenacity. We thank the distinguished panel of judges, without whom the awards would not hold its prestige. The transparent and legitimate process remains the fortress of strength of the awards, with EY as the independent auditor.”
