Thailand: FWD unveils new critical illness plan via agency channel

| 05 Sep 2024

FWD Life Insurance (FWD) has launched its latest critical illness insurance product, "CI Re-Claim Re-Care," under the "Total CIs Solutions" concept.

This plan offers coverage of up to 1,100% of the sum assured for critical illnesses, with the ability to make multiple claims – up to 14 times – while providing coverage until the age of 99. It is designed to comprehensively address every aspect of critical illness care.

Following the successful introduction of CI Med-ALL and CI Cash A Day – products that allow customers to extend, add to, customise, and arrange their critical illness coverage towards the end of 2023 – FWD Insurance has developed the CI Re-Claim Re-Care plan.

This plan covers every stage of a critical illness and provides multiple lump-sum benefits to help manage present and potential future medical expenses.

The CI Re-Claim Re-Care plan features:

  • Coverage for 110 critical illnesses;
  • Multiple claims up to 14 times;
  • Coverage for the recurrence of five critical illnesses;
  • Maximum benefits of up to 1,100% of the sum assured; and
  • Premium waiver upon diagnosis of a last stage critical illness.

Mr David Korunic, Chief Executive Officer for Thailand & Cambodia, FWD Life Insurance Plc., commented, “We recognise the importance of being prepared for critical illnesses, which can affect individuals of all ages. The rising costs of treatment, coupled with the risk of developing additional critical illnesses or experiencing a recurrence, make it crucial to have robust coverage.

“Our ‘CI Re-Claim Re-Care’ product represents a significant step forward in providing comprehensive critical illness protection for Thais, addressing both financial and health-related risks. This allows everyone to live life confidently, knowing that FWD Insurance is there to support and protect them,” reported Khaosodenglish.
